Leander Medals With Research

The  story of Leander is told in one of the greek poems attributed to Musaeus of Leander, a young man of Abydos, who swam nightly across the Hellespond to visit his love Hero, a priestess of Venus and who was one night drowned in the attempt to reach the opposite shore.


This theme was taken up by many swimming clubs. So you may have as many an 10 swimming clubs all having Leander Swimming Medals.
